Camp Bluebird is an adult Cancer Survivor Camp. We are hosted by Sacred Heart Health System. The camp is a three-day, two-night retreat where adults get to sit back, be pampered and become kids again without any worries. We operate camp twice a year - once in the spring and once in the fall. The camp is staffed completely by volunteers, including several nurses (so that we can handle almost all situations) that give of their time freely to make the most amazing experience happen for our campers. During camp we have small-group meetings, Doc-in-the-Box, arts and crafts, self-help sessions, pampering sessions (massages, facials, Happy Shots), lots of free time, and best of all is our Thursday night Theme Night.
The next camp will be "Bluebird World Tour," Oct. 19-21, 2016.
Below are posters of some the past themes for camp.

Welcome to Camp Bluebird of Pensacola, Florida
Camp Bluebird of Pensacola was established in 1998. Each spring and fall we offer a unique 3-day, 2-night experience for adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. It is a chance for them to share comfort, knowledge and support with other people who are on the same journey.
Our camp is held at Sacred Heart Health System's Miracle Camp, a beautiful 40-acre nature preserve that offers 20 acres of woods, a pecan orchard, a pond and a meditation labyrinth. It is a peaceful setting that gives our campers an opportunity to relax, refresh and renew; to spend a few days without any worries.
Staffed completely by volunteers, activities during camp include: Doc-in-the-Box (local doctors and nurses who conduct a group question-and-answer session), arts and crafts, self-help sessions, and pampering sessions that include massages, facials and glamour shots. The highlight of camp is our Thursday night theme night which includes activities related to the theme of the camp.
Camp Bluebird is a special project of Sacred Heart Health System in Pensacola Florida. Our sponsors work together to make the experience affordable to all cancer survivors. Campers pay only a nominal fee (currently $40), so financial and in-kind support are imperative to cover the costs of the event. Other groups in our community aid in the support of our camp as well.
Please enjoy your tour of our site. As you look at pictures of past camps, take a moment to ask yourself "Why Not Me?" I can guarantee that our camp will change your life forever. Don't you deserve to do something special to renew your spirit?
